Pirate Adventure Park

The Pirate Adventure Park has something to offer for the whole family. The Pirate Adventure park boasts rides including the Cannonball Run Slide, Pirate Queen Swinging Ship and Pirates Plunge Flume Ride. Swan Pedalo boats are also available. Seating 4 people, take the opportunity to head out on the beautiful Westport House lake and enjoy stunning views of the House, the West Gardens, Westport Quay, Croagh Patrick and Clew Bay. Bouncy castles are also on offer providing entertainment for the younger members of the family. Also on site are an indoor soft play area and a pirate’s playground.

Westport House

Westport House is one of Ireland’s most beautiful historic houses. It was built on the ruins of a former castle of the legendary Irish pirate queen, Grace O’Malley. The original Westport House was built in 1650 by Colonel John Browne and his wife Maud Burke, a great-great-granddaughter of Grace O’Malley. Since then it has undergone many developments.
Today there are 30 rooms on show to visitors, 6 exhibitions, dungeons, original antiques, artwork, architecture and extensive gardens. Guided tours are available for children and adults.

Westport Train Tour

Enjoy the story of Westport from the comfort of the guided train tour. The train tour is approx 50 minutes in which it explores the grounds of Westport House Estate, Westport Quay and the town of Westport. During the trip enjoy beautiful views, quirky facts and fascinating stories about the people who once lived in Westport.
