Will I benefit from the expertise of a dedicated wedding coordinator?

Joanne, Seamus and Caroline, our wedding coordinators, will be delighted to help you with any query throughout your planning right up to your wedding at Westport Woods Hotel. They will be here to assist you on the day of your wedding and will ensure everything runs smoothly.

 

What is the capacity of your wedding/function room?

Our newly renovated wedding room in Westport, the Mulberry suite, can cater for up to 280 people. The room can also be adapted to suit smaller weddings.

 

Do you provide a microphone and a sound system?

We provide microphones for your speeches and a PA system for your entrance song(s) and the background music to be played throughout the meal in the Mulberry Suite.

 

 

 

Do you cater for civil/humanist ceremonies?

Westport Woods Hotel are a registered venue for ceremonies that can cater for both indoor wedding ceremonies and outdoor wedding ceremonies – should the weather allow it. Ceremony hire starts at €350 and includes a floral arrangement for the altar table, red aisle carpet runner and hurricane lanterns down the aisle. We offer stunning areas for both indoors and outdoors wedding ceremonies in the West.

 

How many weddings will you cater for in a day?

Our policy is to cater to one wedding per day to guarantee you the exclusive use of our Mulberry Suite and our wedding coordinators’ full attention.

 

Can your wedding packages be altered?

We are only too happy to tailor make packages to suit your desires and budget.

 

Are packages dependant on a certain number of guests?

Certain items of our packages are dependant on a minimum number of guests seated at the wedding, i.e. complimentary rooms for your family. Our all-inclusive packages are subject to a minimum of 100 adult guests.

 

What time do you serve the wedding meal?

We generally invite wedding guests to find their seats in the Mulberry suite at 5 pm and start serving the meal once everybody is seated at 6 pm.

 

Do you cater for all dietary requirements?

We pride ourselves in looking after every dietary requirement and making the wedding meal experience enjoyable for all of your guests. We offer a variety of gluten and dairy free options and a vegetarian option of your choice is offered to your guests on the day.

 

How long does it take for the room to be set up for the band?

We recommend your band arrives at the hotel at 8 pm to start playing around 9:30 pm and minimise delays.

 

Do you offer any preferred rates for guests staying in the hotel?

We offer discounted rates for guests staying in the hotel for one or several nights (a limit applies on one-night stays but all of your guests can avail of several nights stay).

Our newlywed couple is also offered the complimentary use of our beautiful Bridal suite for the night of their wedding.

 

Is there a curfew for the band/DJ? 

For guests comfort music will stop at 2 am.

 

What kind of decorations do your packages include?

All our packages include crisp white table linen, stylish chivari chairs, fresh floral arrangements and a choice of centrepieces (white rose with greenery in a tall vase and candelabras). We also provide personalised menus and table plan.

 

Do you provide cake stand/cake knife?

We have three different cake stands available for you to use as well as our silver cake knife.

 

Is there any children entertainment in the hotel?

Our famous Go!Kids! Club is available to entertain wedding guests over 5 years of age for up to 2 hours after the meal.

We also offer babysitting services with local babysitters, prior booking is essential. 

 

Do you offer scenic locations for wedding pictures?

We are located on 7 acres of woodlands and gardens which offers you a unique setting for a gorgeous set of sylvan pictures. We also have large bay windows in our Mulberry Suite and Lakeview Restaurant, providing you with natural light for beautiful indoors pictures.

 

Do you provide toiletries baskets? If so, what do they contain?

We do provide toiletries baskets for the ladies’ bathrooms, both in the hotel’s reception area and in the Mulberry Suite. They include deodorant, hairspray, sanitary items, hair clips, hairbrush, safety pins, cotton wool and cleansing wipes.

 

Can you organise a wedding after party?

We love having our bridal parties staying a bit longer with us and we offer a range of options for post-wedding parties (barbecues, buffets, finger food and sit down meals)

 

Can you recommend any wedding service providers?

We would only be too happy to recommend suppliers we have worked with in the past.

 

I am very interested in booking but I would like to keep my options opened, can you hold a date for us?

We can indeed provisionally secure a date for you for seven days, as we understand a decision as important as your wedding venue needs to be discussed.

 

I am ready to book, what do you require to secure my date?

After meeting with our wedding coordinator and agreeing to our wedding terms and conditions, we require a €1,200 wedding deposit that can be settled over 12 weeks to confirm your booking. This can be done by bank transfer, bank draft, cheque or cash.
