From September 2019, the Taste the Island programme by Fáilte Ireland will be showcasing the very best of food and drink that Ireland has to offer. All throughout the Autumn months, visitors from within Ireland and abroad are invited to take part in an immersive journey through the culture of Irish cuisine. Taste the Island will create the perfect opportunity for people to experience the authentic, world-class produce that Ireland has become so well for- from beef reared on our own soil, to fresh seafood plucked straight from the wild Atlantic. Every business that will be taking part in this island-wide initiate will be using the only the freshest ingredients from local producers, and here at the Westport Woods Hotel you will be sure to uncover a renewed appreciation for the natural ingredients offered by Ireland’s lush landscape.

REEL DEEL Brewery
A small craft brewery based in Crossmolina, County Mayo, nestled at the foot of Nephin Mountain along the Wild Atlantic Way. Founded in 2014 by Marcus Robinson with the aim of producing outstanding local ales using the best of ingredients and leaving the bland, industrial stuff behind. To create beers full of flavour, our ingredients are carefully sourced, hand selected by our brewers, chosen according to their quality and distinct flavours. We have taken the finest Irish malt and hops from around the world to create beers to be proud of.
