Friday 9th - Sunday 11th Oct 2009
Murder Mystery weekends are big favourites with everyone, especially with The Usual Suspects. This weekend's theme is Dracula's Birthday Party. Is there a vampire hiding within you? Dressing up is optional but it does add to the fun. Enjoy a welcome punch reception on Friday night followed by a hot buffet. The action-packed fancy dress (optional) dinner is on Saturday night and on Sunday morning after breakfast, all is revealed. On Saturday you're at your leisure to explore the hotel, and lovely Westport too. Have a lie in, breakfast is served until 11am so there's no hurry in the mornings. Try out the Beech Club Leisure Centre with gym and lovely swimming pool as well as relaxing sauna and jacuzzi. There's always someone on hand to show you around. Maybe you'll treat yourself to a pampering spa treatment in the Cedar Spa - it might be the only sanctuary from vampires and exorcists.
€179pps (2 nights Dinner, Bed and Breakfast and Murder Mystery)
Count Dracula is celebrating his umpteenth birthday party - he's not quite sure how old he is, perhaps about 299 years or so! Present will be Mrs Ilona Danvers his strange and dour housekeeper, Igor Stravinski Scavarre, his faithful retainer and servant, and Lady Vampire Kensington-Gore, his mistress and lover. A spanner in the plans of Dracula will be the famous exorcist and vampire hunter, Vicar Ted Lacey whose life ambition it is to destroy the Count. Present also will be the famous Dr. Victor Frankenstein, who has the unique ability of being able to revive the dead!
All guests who wish to be present at this horrific but hilarious birthday party should come for the welcome Punch Reception on Friday, after which a buffet dinner will be enjoyed by Dracula and his guests. Then, more properly attired in fancy dress (optional), guests will attend the banquet on Saturday night. Count Dracula himself will welcome you all to his 300th birthday party for a night of ghastly goings-on which may even end in murder … but whose murder?
The Westport Woods is proud to be Ireland's greenest hotel.
