The village of Murrisk offers the most picturesque location between the shores of Clew Bay and the majestic mountain of Croagh Patrick, known locally as ‘The Reek’.
On the last Sunday in July every year “Reek Sunday” people from all over Ireland and across the Atlantic come to climb Croagh Patrick. It is climbed by over 25,000 people each year and gives the most scenic views of Clew Bay.
