The Westport Woods Riding Centre in Bohea, is just 5 minutes from the hotel with free transfers provided. The treks go through woodland, bogland and up through the foothills of majestic Croagh Patrick, affording panoramic views across Clew Bay to Achill and Clare Island. There are some lovely unspoilt areas with whitewashed cottages and the scent of turf smoke through the air, as well as clear gurgling streams for the horses to cool their hooves in. Ride and Tide Endurance Festival

An equestrian festival combining cross country trekking and endurance riding with orienteering by horseback from island to island in Clew Bay. Two horse riders will take turns to ride and swim one horse as they make their way across the wild rugged West of Ireland.
