For anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of urban life, then taking a cycling holiday through Westport on the World Class Great Western Greenway is the best way to achieve this. Located in the west of Ireland, it is the longest off-road walking and cycling trail, you are literally just around the corner from it here in The Westport Woods Hotel.

Meandering along the old Newport/Mulranny railway, this 18km traffic-free route is ideal for getting out on a bike for a spin. It spans from Westport, through Newport, Mulranny and through to Achill Island

Traveling this greenway, you’ll be surrounded by idyllic countryside. And you’ll be able to relax and enjoy the views as there are no steep hills and the route is well mapped and signed.
