Our Location

The Westport Woods Hotel is just a couple of minutes from the town centre, on the Quay Road. Extensive private woodlands were once part of the neighbouring Westport House Estate. Westport is a heritage town and one of the few designed towns in Ireland. Both charming and picturesque it has won national and international awards for community effort and presentation. These include multiple national Tidy Towns Awards, Entente Florale Gold medals, Ireland’s Best Kept Town and Communities in Bloom. Attractive shop fronts jostle for attention on the tree lined streets. A carnival atmosphere prevails throughout the year.

Westport is a convenient base for touring Connemara, Achill Island and South Mayo as well as visiting Galway and Sligo cities, Clare Island, North Mayo, Cong and the Great Western Lakes.
